How to Find the Best Girls Toys
Think of all the girly things girls like to do, and it won’t be hard to find a gift for the little girl on your list. Dress up, dolls, tea parties, stuffed animals, and some of the quieter activities are some of the best girls toys that you can buy. Little girls especially love to play house and act like little mommies, and any toy along these lines will surely be a hit.
There are many dress up sets available for little girls that include items like shoes, dresses, makeup, and purses. Girls really like these sets because they can use everything in the set and not need to raid mom’s bedroom for too much. These sets are generally available with little vials of kids fingernail polish, which is a parent favorite because it peels off once it is dry. If you decide to buy a little girl’s makeup set, it may be a good idea to also buy some very mild facial cleanser that the parents can use to get the makeup off the girls before bed. Dress up sets are some of the top girls toys available for the younger age set.
Dolls are also very popular girls toys because girls can play house and pretend to be the doll’s mommy. Every mother can probably remember playing this game as a little girl. Girls like to play this kind of pretend play game because they get to use their imaginations. Dolls have been the top toys for girls for as long as most people can remember. There are also lots of play furniture items that can enhance the doll play experience. Items such as baby beds, changing tables, strollers and swings are all toy sized versions of the real thing, and girls love to use them. Some girls have a lot of fun putting their doll into a doll- sized high chair and pretending to feed them baby food. Investing in a few cloth diapers and a few layette sized baby blankets would be a wise choice when buying a doll for a little girl. Out of all the girls toys, dolls and accessories are probably the safest option for a little girl up to about age eight.
Stuffed animals are also a good choice for girls. Many girls have a collection of stuffed animals that they can line up in rows when it’s time to play school, or sit around the table when it’s time to have a tea party. Tea parties sets are also among the top toys for girls because this is another pretend play game that girls love to play. Plastic tea sets usually include cups and saucers, a tea pot, a milk pitcher and a sugar bowl in addition to spoons. A large plate is sometimes included so that girls can serve pretend cookies or scones. Any type of plastic dishes would come in handy for pretend play purposes, and can help when girls are playing house. A pretend play kitchen might be a very good investment and is one of the top girls toys available. Most of them are corner shaped so that they can be pushed back into a corner of her bedroom and not take up much space. Playhouses are popular girls toys as well, and some come equipped with a sink, oven and stove, washer and dryer, and refrigerator. Girls can play house all day long and never notice the time passing.
When shopping for girls toys, moms can use their own imaginations to think about what they would have loved to play with as a child. Anything that mom loved to play with as a kid will surely be one of the best girls toys to buy for her daughter.

I find your choices to be very helpful. How you categorized your selection made it very easy for me to prepare a shop list for the upcoming holidays.
Thank you for such a brilliant design.

I HIGHLY recommend the Hannah Montana Malibu Beach House if your little girl is a fan of Hannah Montana. I bought it for my girl and she absolutely LOVED IT!

Great list of toys for girls. I also like how you include extra sections specifically for a type of toy, like the dolls section.

Good Suggestions, I would have liked them separated out by age group though.

All I can say is, WOW! You have done a great job with this site. I feel like a kid in a candy store.
Grouping toys by age would most definitely be worth doing.

Ideas for a 10 yr old girl?

Gadgets are gifts that you can never go wrong with with kids. She is getting to that age where many toys will seem a little to “childish”.
If I were you, I would go with a Pink iPod Nano, Nintendo DS Lite, or a Flip Video Camera.
They are all around the same price range, and will be a gift that she will not get sick of.
