From the time your child is a newborn until they are starting to crawl, it is fairly easy to entertain them by giving them something fun to hold, shake or push buttons on. However, once your kid starts moving, you need to find some kids toys that will allow them to move around as they play. Your child does not want to sit still because there is a great big world out there for them to enjoy and you should encourage them to move around as it helps with their motor skills and overall development. One great way to help your child as they grow is to give them a toy that involves a lot of movement, as well as a lot of learning. The Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Learning Farm is one toy that does both. It is for kids aged 6-36 months.
It’s hard to speculate why, but it always seems like little kids love farm animals. Maybe it is the fun sounds the animals make or the cute way they are portrayed in kids books and toys, but kids love their cows and sheep. This toy features a large chicken, pig, and cow, but they are more than just ornamental. The Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Learning Farm is completely interactive and once your child crawls through by opening the barn gate, the toy will sing songs, play music, flash lights and speak fun phrases and sounds. There is more than just noise with this toy, though, as there are lots of other activities besides crawling through that your little one can do. He can count chicken eggs, push buttons, slide things, sort veggies, and spin things around. What is really nice about this toy is that it is reversible in a sense, because there are things to do on both sides of the barn.
In addition to being entertaining and acquainting your kid with barnyard animals, the Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Learning Farm teaches your child a lot of important things, such as the alphabet, colors, opposites, weather, numbers, shapes, barn animal sounds, counting, and greetings. It even teaches your child what the animals like to eat. The opposites part of the toy is fun and teaches on/off, open/closed, and even clean/muddy. What may be the best feature, though, is that it starts your child learning how to use his imagination, a skill that will be a key to his success in the future.
It is important to note that this toy requires 3AA batteries. There is nothing worse than giving your child a toy and then realizing that you do not have the batteries needed to make the toy work. You will have a one unhappy child on your hands, so be sure to plan ahead.
