Razor Spark

There are few things more exciting to a daredevil than speed. However, for little kids who like to move around at high rates of speed, their options are a bit limited, as they obviously cannot ride a motorcycle or drive a car. One fun toy for kids eight years and old and up is the Razor Spark. Although it works like a typical scooter, it has an added feature which is the reason for the “spark” name. It has a spark cartridge that hold five flint pads. The child just steps on the foot-controlled “spark bar” and sparks will fly out. The scooter comes with an extra spark cartridge, so if your child really likes to make sparks, you will have a back up.

Unique to Razor, the brand that makes the Razor Spark, is a patented rear fender brake. This is important feature for parents to know about because it will allow your child to make quick stops. If you are worry about your child’s safety, you want to ensure that he can stop properly if a car is coming or there is other danger is afoot. Speaking of safety, you can purchase safety accessories for your child to wear when using this scooter, such as a helmet and knee and elbow pads. Although some kids are reluctant to wear safety gear because they may deem it to not be “cool,” just don’t given them the option of not wearing it. If they want to ride the scooter and see the sparks, they need to wear and helmet and pads.

This scooter is made from aircraft-grade aluminum on both the tube and deck which means that it is durable and will stand up to the treatment your child puts its through, including any potential crashes that might occur. The height from the wheel to the handlebar is 33 inches. It can also be folded up for easier transport and when folded it is approximately 24 inches by 7 inches and weighs an easily manageable 7 pounds. The wheel size is 98 millimeters. This scooter holds kids up to a weight of 143 pounds, so while there is no upper age limit, per se, there is an upper limit when it comes to size for the Razor Spark. If someone uses it who exceeds the weight limit, you have to start worrying about structural stability, as well as lack of effective usage.

The last few years, scooters have been among the top toys for boys. Although there are other scooters that spark like this one does, the manufacturer claims that this particular toy makes 20 percent more sparks than other similar products, which means you get more sparks for your dollars with this one.
