Super Mario 64 was one of the best toys ever created within the Mario universe and now it has migrated to the mobile platform in the form of Super Mario 64 DS, one of the best Nintendo DS games to ever be created. What made Super Mario 64 one of the top toys around was how great the storyline was and how pioneering the graphics were, but what makes Super Mario 64 DS a great amongst modern kids’ toys is that all of that has been augmented by the modern technology of the DS system.
The plotline is quite simple. Mario, Luigi and Wario arrive at the castle of Princess Peach for a party only to find that the castle is empty. They eventually disappear as well and just like all good Mario Nintendo DS games, Yoshi decides to get involved to help find them. Bowser is of course behind the disappearance and playing as any one of the four characters mentioned above your goal is to stop Bowser once again and prevent him from carrying out his evil plans.
The best toys are those that can leave you on the edge of your seat with excitement and Super Mario 64 DS definitely deliver on this, allowing you to traverse the castle and collect stars as you attempt to find Bowser and stopping him from making good on his plans for Princess Peach and the other missing castle guests. You can do all of the normal Mario moves as well as all of the upgraded ones from the Nintendo 64 version. Like all top toys however, Super Mario 64 DS also allows you to add additional moves to your repertoire, making it a truly unique game with its own perspective on things. This is part of what makes it one of the better kids’ toys around today and definitely one that you should consider purchasing.
