Imaginext toys are a line of action figures and play sets designed to stimulate kids’ imaginations and allow them to engage in hours of self-directed play.  The toys are made of high density, durable plastic and designed to withstand thousands of hours of rough play and repeated use.  With the use of the full range of the toys in the Imaginext line, kids can build an entire world full of structures, vehicles, and people to live there.

There are several different lines of toys within the larger Imaginext toy line.  The different varieties include the city sets, the pirate sets (even more popular since the release of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies), the ocean sets, the castle sets, the jungle sets, the dinosaur sets, and even a set called DC Super Friends designed around the most popular super heroes that originated with DC Comics.

The City line of toys includes items like a firehouse, a fire truck, a police car, an ambulance, and other rescue agency type toys complete with little action figures of firefighters, paramedics and police officers.  The paramedics and police officers also have optional motorcycles they can ride, and there is even a mounted police officer toy available that comes with a police officer and his police horse.

The Pirate line has, of course, a large pirate ship and its crew.  There are also sea creatures like whales, sharks, octopi and sea turtles for the pirate crew to contend with (or make friends with, as the case may be) and there are lots of options for kids during play time.

The Jungle line has a mountain/ tree house combo domicile, boats, safari vehicles, and all the animals one might be lucky enough to encounter while on safari.  Some of the animal sets include a combination of animals, while other animal sets include an animal plus a little patch of land that is a characteristic dwelling place for that animal in the wild.  The Jungle toys are a very educational set that kids just love.

The Ocean of Imaginext toys includes a large ocean boat, several smaller water vehicles, and ocean adventurer action figures- and even a dolphin.  Wouldn’t it be interesting to see what happens when the ocean boat meets up with the pirate ship on the big blue ocean?  Kids can take this situation any way they want to go, perhaps even helping the two work together:  The ocean explorers can help the pirates to look for the buried treasure!

The Castle sets allow kids to travel back in time to the medieval period when dragons reigned and boulders flew from cannons.  The Dinosaur sets include many different dino species, allowing kids to travel to another time period long ago to watch realistic dinosaurs roam the planet.
