Knowing what children want for the holidays can be a chore. However, certain toys are often more popular than others. Here you will find a list of hot toys for Christmas 2009.
Zhu Zhu Pets
Because buying a real hamster costs more and requires plenty of responsibility, Cepia, LLC has come up with a cuddly alternative. Zhu Zhu Pets hamsters are almost like the real thing. They require 2 AA batteries to function, then children can set them down, press a button, and watch them zip around in explore mode or cozy up to them and hear squeaks in loving mode. Several accessories are available, which allows children to build a veritable hamster city that their pets can explore. Each pet comes with a name, a unique personality, and sounds specially made just for them.

This gives children the ability to play with seven different little toys or one bigger toy. The toy is based on Cartoon Network’s television series, Bakugan Battle Brawlers where two players battle each other in an attempt to gain one another’s Bakugan warriors. A good choice for children that are fans of the show and the game, though it might confuse those who are not. There are several different town sets depending upon what a child might take the most interest in; zoo, construction set, my house, horse ranch, and airport. A straightforward design allows children to color the playmats that the structures sit on, as well as some of the structures themselves. This allows children the chance to not only play with one large transformer, but six smaller toys as well. The main transformer also has a weapon that glows and makes destruction noises. It isn’t a Transformer. Instead, Rocky comes with various sensors, his own motorized movements, and at least 100 different phrases. Kids can either play with Rocky like a typical dump truck, or they can interact with him. Rocky is programmed with things such as jokes, pleasant words, to flash his lights when he talks, and will even make snoring sounds when he “sleeps.” Requires 4 C batteries (included).

Once both sides are printed, children can open them up at the bottom, stuff, and then seal shut. A unique alternative to the usually necessary needle and thread.
