Matchbox Mega Rig Trash King Building System

Children are sometimes fascinated with what adults think are strange things or, perhaps just everyday things that most people do not pay much mind to. For example, a little girl may be enthralled by watching a caterpillar on the ground or a boy may not be able to get enough of all the big rig trucks that you pass by on the highway. For children who are oddly fascinated by garbage trucks, they would probably like the Matchbox Mega Rig Trash King Building System. It is a garbage truck in bright green and white coloring that a child can use to pretend to be the garbage man with and haul things around.

Kids will probably like all the real-life effects that the truck has, like the motorized chassis that moves the truck around and the elaborate set-up of the parts of the truck. There is a basket in the front that can be filled with trash and then lifted and dumped into the back, just like on a real garbage truck. The toy also comes with a small garbage man who can sit in the truck as it moves around. The truck is compatible with another Matchbox toy, the car crusher and they can work together if the child also has the toy for total destructive action.

The Matchbox Mega Rig Trash King Building System is not really an educational toy and is mostly just for the purpose of having fun. It can teach about how a garbage truck works, but other than that it is not really the toy to get if you want to be teaching specific skills like reading. In a smaller child it may help with motor skills, but these top toys are not to be used by smaller children due to the multiple choking risks, including from a marble and balloon that make up parts of the item. For that reason, it should only be used by children who are of the ages four to ten years old.

Although there are probably unlimited ways to play with the Matchbox Mega Rig Trash King Building System, one fun thing to do would be to have the truck move around the house and pick up bits of “garbage” like other small toys, scraps of paper, or other such things. It is unfortunate that it is not a real working garbage truck or you could trick your child into cleaning up the house disguised as play. One downside of the item may be like many trucks and similar toys that the child just becomes bored of it. To encourage your child’s continued use of it, you might want to suggest using it to interact with other similar ones he already may have.
