If you were to look at almost any list of popular toys in the past hundred years, there is one name that you would find on it time and time again. There is one name that will be remembered forever (likely) and that is always one of the top toys available to purchase for young girls: Barbie. Mattel started realizing that the new generation of girls was going to be able to play with this popular character and so they decided to start making movies featuring the blonde doll. Now there are many movies out that feature the character and each of them has a lesson to teach. Most find the lesson of the movie where she plays a pint sized Twillerbee one that is the most heartwarming.
What’s a Twillerbee?
In Barbie: Thumbelina, the main character is a little Twillerbee named Thumbelina. A Twillerbee is a small, almost fairy-like character who lives in the woods and who has a significant connection with nature. This Twillerbee winds up in the big city on accident and eventually befriends a human who helps her to save her beloved forest.
The movie helped children to understand the importance of preserving nature and also created some of the hot toys that Mattel has ever had for their movie characters. Fortunately, they haven’t stopped creating toys that go along with the movie, and one of the newer ones is likely to be very coveted by young girls!
The Barbie Thumbelina Peach Rose item is actually a bracelet! Most young girls love to wear jewelry, including bracelets. This bracelet is special because it has one of the Twillerbabies inside of it! As children learn in the movie, Twillerbabies are born once a year and come from the inside of special flowers. This Twillerbaby is named Peach Rose, and just like her name, she smells a bit peachy!
The flower that she’s in also has the gorgeous peach color and has a tiny doll inside of it. It is the doll that is lightly scented and that can actually detach from the rest of the bracelet!
