We spent quite a bit of time working on Bakugan Starter Pack Red reviews, as we did with the rest of the Bakugan toys. Bakugan Battle Brawlers are becoming very popular with boys in a pretty wide age group. We have to agree that the toys are pretty cool. Our one concern is that the price tag on these toys may be prohibitive to families on a tight budget. To save money, we recommend the starter packs, such as the Bakugan Starter Pack Red set. There are also other starter packs in other colors to get the collection started quickly.

The Bakugan Starter Pack Red collection has three of the red Bakugan Battle Brawlers in one convenient and money saving package. They are really neat little toys. When you roll them onto the game surface, such as the game board or the little playing cards that come in the package, there is a magnetic component that is activated and the balls pop open into weird looking alien creatures. Weird looking is apparently an attribute that appeals to boys, because they didn’t say they looked weird- they said “cool”. Since the set includes three, we set three packages of Bakugan Starter Pack Red figures out in a room with three boys, so they would be able to hold them between their fingers like the boys in the commercials- and they actually did that. They had a lot of fun launching them into battle on the board. What really surprised us was that the Battle Brawlers opened every single time. There were no duds or even the odd misfire. Not many toys are that reliable.
We also noticed that as long as boys play with them as they were intended to be played with, they little plastic figures are quite durable. We can see them getting broken if they are used as projectiles and thrown around the room (or at each other), but during the hour long Bakugan Starter Pack Red review, the boys used the toys as they were meant to be used.
If your child is just starting out collecting the Bakugan Battle Brawlers toys, we would recommend the Bakugan Starter Pack Red set as a good place to start. There are also starter sets available in other colors, so it might be a good idea to grab a set of each. They come in red, blue, green, white and grey, so just a set of each will start your child out with a collection of fifteen Battle Brawlers. Don’t forget to pick up a Bakugan Battle Arena, which is just a magnetized game board, but it makes the transformation process easier because it is a bigger target than the little playing cards. It would also be a good idea at the start to invest a few dollars in a carrying case or a bag of some sort. The balls are pretty small, and of course they roll around, so it would be pretty easy to lose them if you don’t have a good way to carry them around.

Thank you!! this was very helpful…I wasn’t sure what I needed for my son to get started with these toys and the basic descriptions weren’t telling me anything!
