Bakugan Starter Pack Blue

The Bakugan Starter Pack Blue is a great way to start your child’s Bakugan Battle Brawlers collection. Not a collection really, more like an army- you’re helping your child build an army of Battle Brawlers so that he can do battle with other kids’ Bakugan armies. One piece of advice for parents is to make sure you know where you’re going to store the Battle Brawlers when not in use. They’re small, they roll, and if they are left lying around on the floor, the laws of the universe state clearly that they will be stepped on and broken. To save your child the grief and yourself the sore foot, invest a few dollars in a carrying case when you buy the set of Battle Brawlers.

To play the Bakugan Battle Brawlers game, you child will need a whole army of Battle Brawlers. The Blue set contains three randomly selected blue Bakugan figures. Each pack will have three different characters, so it is basically luck of the draw. There are hundreds of these little guys available, and they are also available in different colors- white, blue, gray, red and green so far, but certainly more will be coming soon.

During our Bakugan Starter Pack reviews, we set three boys loose in a room with three blue starter packs and the Battle Arena. We also included the official rules. They seemed to have fun with the toys we provided, but after reading the rule book one of the boys asked if there were more Battle Brawlers available. So apparently an army of three Bakugan is not ideal. But the boys had fun anyway, rolling the soldiers onto the battleground and engaging in small scale battle for control of the planet. It was fun to watch them use their imaginations.

Interestingly, out of the three sets, there was only one duplicate action figure.
During the Bakugan Starter Pack Blue review, the boys started playing “intergalactic catch” with the Battle Brawlers, and one of them hit the floor pretty hard. It didn’t break though, so the toys are tougher than they look. Since they are made out of plastic, they are certainly breakable if boys treat them roughly enough, but we were pretty impressed that the dropped one didn’t break.

We would say that the set is a good start in building your child’s Bakugan Battle Brawlers army. There are also starter packs available in several different colors, so for a great gift you might consider picking up a set in each color. That will get the boy started with enough Bakugan for a proper army, and he will be very happy with that. Older boys will have no problem understanding and following the rules of battle, and any boy who enjoyed the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game will love these toys as well. There is an element of surprise when buying the starter packs, because they are chosen at random, but boys can trade the figures amongst themselves when they end up with duplicates.
