There’s a lot to say about this new release from Fisher Price. It has so many features that it’s easy to get lost in them. Most infants will be entertained simply by the fact that they can open and close the front door. But it’s essential to point out the other activities so parents can make the most of this toy.
Music and Learning
The two main components of the Fisher-Price Laugh and Learn Home are based on music and learning. Most experts agree that when you combine music and learning, children tend learn easier. This home is full of learning potential, as kids will learn numbers, letters, counting, singing, opposites, shapes, colors, time, greetings and more. There’s a clock at the top of the house with numbers that is easy enough for an infant to use. Kids can open and close windows, sort shapes, turn light switches from off to on, mail letters and discover hidden surprises. Some fun activities include: dropping tiny balls into the rainspout for musical rewards, learning the difference between “up and down” and “day and night,” and singing along with the radio. We wish all houses were this much fun, including our own.
Two Ways to Learn
What sets the Fisher-Price Laugh and Learn House above so many other playhouses is that it offers two different ways to learn, depending on which your child responds to the best. If your child loves to sing, dance and listen to music, they can sing along to 21 different fun and silly songs. (That’s variety at its best.) There are even songs with lyrics for counting, colors, learning opposites and more. The radio can tune into different radio stations, and there are over 25 fun sounds and encouraging phrases to keep kids engaged and having fun. If your child loves to learn on his or her own, simply through curiosity and discovery, they can spend time playing and discovering the many different activities that the Fisher-Price Laugh and Learn Home has to offer for basic early academics. The house was designed to stimulate curiosity and encouraging learning through music, sounds, songs and activities. Kids will also develop self-confidence as they learn how to sing along and do activities by themselves. There’s really no downside to the Laugh and Learn House. It retails for $80.00, which seems rather cheap for everything this house has to offer.
